After 10 years of involvement will Captivate and watching its evolution from the original Nexus Flashcam through to its current Captivate 5 windows and Mac alpha version
I have decided to put the site on the back burner, Aimee was thirteen in December, a teenager :) she is still unable to talk but hopefully the AAC device that she will get this year will help ease the communication void that she has endured since her speech was stolen.

I currently have less and less free time to try and create "stuff" for Captivate and would like to use what time I have beta testing the latest build, hopefully sometime in the future I will be able to start again.

Thank you to all the people who have given me support over the years, I can not give a personal thanks to all as the list would be far to long, but you all know who you are and feel free to email me if you need help Thank You

There are two people who I must mention as they have both been there for me and more importantly have become good friends Seth Ozen and Larry Walther aka Catbandit, you guys have helped me a lot over the years,

Wink

thanks Paul

The additional downloads section of my site is now open to all registered users of my site

Undecided I would just like to say Thank You to all the people who have emailed me with support over the last few months

I receive around 40+ emails a week asking for advise / help with something to do with captivate or my widgets,

I try my best to reply but my time is very limited partially due to my day job and also the fact that my daughter is severely autistic with severe learning difficulties

I say severe because the comments in some of the emails I have received people appear to imagine an autistic child as

"cool you have your own rainman" or "Hey they are just like normal kids sept they like to line things up" (ignorant people)
In Aimee's case try imaging a hyperactive 11 year old child with the mental ability of a 12 month old baby with no speech, unable to feed themselves, unable to be left alone, incontinent, very limited communication skills, no sense of danger, And you will begin to understand that there is actually more to it

So please do not send me any more emails "Demanding" that I help or emails that are abusive or attempt to trivialise Aimee's disabilities. If I can help I will help but at the end of the day your deadline is your deadline and it is you that is getting paid to meet that deadline if you are unable to meet that deadline on your own don't demand that I help
